March 28, 2008; Another Hot Day!
One word to describe a sudeen climate change is summer! Heck it's so hot, even inside the house. I just watch TV and surf the net to kill time. Not much to do really, it's kinda boring. So, I will continue the thing that I missed doing for 5 or more months because of school, and that's working out. I work out at Slimmer's World in SM MegaMall. It just feels good after a session of workout because you feel that your body has an armour over it. So there.
March 25, 2008; Summer means hot!
Now is the time when even though you open your air-conditioning unit at home, it won't work that well because it's being defeated by the overwhelming heat. It's so hot here in the Metro. The temperature's going up to 40 degrees centigrade.Last Sunday, the exhibition charity game between the PBA Ateneo All-Stars and the PBA De La Salle All-Stars went on to become another unfinished business. The game went to a 90-all affair after the teams went on to have a 10-0 scoring runs during the last two quarters resulting into the draw. And on NBA news, the Washington Wizards defeated the Detroit Pistons, 95-83 at the Verizon Center in the Nation's Capital.
March 21, 2008; Good Friday
Today is Holy Friday, the day when our Lord Jesus Christ died from the cross. Not so many things happened today. I woke up at around 9 AM. Watched some DVD's. Ate lunch. And at around 3 pm, I sacrificed a little of my time to pray to God. After which, I watched DVD's again. And now, I'm here accounting today's happenings. It's summer time once again, the most awaited time of most people because this is the time in which they (or we) could rest our brains from hectic schedule and horrifying studying hours. But I think the joy only applies to those who are just dealing with two semesters of studying per school year. The trimester dudes would still be sticking it up resuming next week. Many people are also enjoying the white sand beaches and the different vacation spots whether inside the country or outside.By the way, last Sunday, March 16, our boxing hero, Manny "the PacMan" Pacquiao defeated Juan Manuel "Dinamita" Marquez via a very controversial split decision, 115-112, 115-112 and 114-113 scorecard, on to becoming the new WBC Super Featherweight Champion of the World and the RING Magazine's Super Featherweight Champion of the World. He is the first Asian to become a world champion in three weight divisions (former WBC Flyweight, IBF Super Bantamweight, and now the WBC Super Featherweight Champion). And on NBA news, the San Antonio Spurs defeated the Chicago Bulls, 102-80. Tony Parker led the way for the Spurs, with 23 points, while Tim Duncan added 22. The Bulls on the other hand, was led by Luol Deng with 18 points and Drew Gooden helped with 16 markers.Over in Dallas, the Boston Celtics defeated the Mavericks, 94-90. The Big 3 of the Celtics, Pierce, Allen and Garnett scored 22, 21 and 20 respectively to lead the Celtics, while Josh Howard and Dirk Nowitzki led the way for the slumping Mavs with 24 and 22 points, respectively. And for the final game of the night, the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Utah Jazz to maintain their hold on the number 1 seed in the West via a 106-95 win. Kobe Bryant, the leading MVP candidate for this season, scored 27 points for the Lakers, who are still without their satr center Pau Gasol. For the Jazz, point guard Deron Williams led the way with 26 points.
