May 31, 2008; My 100th post! History repeats itself!

Today, me and my parents planned to go to Lucena City to visit my dad's client. We woke up at around 6 in the morning, so that we could leave early. We left at around 6:30. But the sad thing is that, the SLEX ain't fixed yet! The construction is still on-going! The traffic was from the Alabang Viaduct all the way down to the last exit at the Laguna area! And what made the traffic worse is that, the president came! I think she had 10 cars ahead of her, full of her security staff, assistants and the police!

After we exited at the Batangas exit, it's all smooth sailing. We drove-thru at Jollibee Sto. Tomas for our brunch, at around 9:30. After which, driving was made easier with those new by-pass roads. We arrived at our destination at exactly 11 in the morning. My dad talked to his client, and he also showed his proposal for the machine we would build, if the client approves it. They talked for about an hour and a half, while me and my mom stayed inside the car. My mom even bought some products from the market, because the client's place is near the central market of the City of Lucena. After they met, we left the place and decided to go home already.

Then suddenly, my dad told me to drive from there. So I accepted it! Wow! My first actual long drive! Wehw! Even though the traffic terrible, it was worth the drive! We ate at around 4:30 in the afternoon at the Palaisdaan Restaurant at Bay, Laguna. Instead of going back to Manila the same direction as to going to Lucena, we tried the other route. We passed by many towns like the home of the Pahiyas festival, Lucban, Quezon, and many more from the provinces of Quezon and Laguna. So there! What a day!

Now, let's digress to the 2008 NBA Playoffs!

It's the sixth game of the NBA Eastern Conference Finals series between the Boston Celtics and the Detroit Pistons. The game was tight during the first half, with the Celtics just leading it by three, 40-37. But the third quarter was owned by the Pistons as they outscored the Celtics 31-20 to lead the game, 68-60. The fourth quarter on the other hand, was the opposite. Paul Pierce exploded and so as the entire Celtic roster as they won the game and the series, 89-81, for them to earn the ticket to face the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA Finals, a feat they never achieved for the past 21 years. Paul Pierce led the Celtics with 27 points and 8 rebounds, while Ray Allen added 17 points and 6 rebounds. The Pistons however, were led by Chauncey Billups with 29 points and 6 rebounds, while Rip Hamilton had 21 points and 4 assists. The historic rivalry between the Celtics and the Lakers will be renewed as the NBA Finals 2008 starts! Game 1 will be on Friday, June 6, LIVE on C/S RPN. After 21 years, the match-up of all match-ups is now upon us!

Boston 89
Detroit 81
BOS: Paul Pierce- 27 pts, 8 rebs, 3 assts, 2 stls.
DET: Chauncey Billups- 29 pts, 6 rebs, 6 assts.
Celtics win series 4-2.
Celtics win the Eastern Conference Championship.
Faces the Lakers in the NBA Finals starting June 6, Friday, LIVE on C/S RPN.

May 30, 2008; MVP! MVP! MVP!

I woke up today at around a quarter to 9 in the morning. Then I ate my breakfast. After which, I watched the playoff game between the Spurs and the Lakers LIVE. After that, I ate my lunch, then I watched Eat Bulaga! Haha! Then, I slept for about 2 hours! From 3:30-5:30! Then, I woke up, ate my merienda! Then, me and my parents watched a DVD movie entitled "Semi-Pro" starring Will Ferrell as the leading character by the name of Jackie Moon. The movie was so hilarious! The humor waas really there! After watching, we ate our dinner. Then, I took my bath, and now, I am here! So there!

Now, here is the result of today's NBA action! It's Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals series between the defending champions San Antonio Spurs and the Los Angeles Lakers. The Spurs took care of the first half, even leading as much as 17 points on one point, silencing the Laker crowd. But the third quarter was owned by the Lakers as they had a major rally, even leading by 7 in one point. The Lakers continued their run up to the fourth quarter. The Lakers went on to win the game, 100-92. The Lakers also won the Western Conference Championship. And now, they are on their way to the NBA Finals for the first time in four years and their 5 time in 9 years. It's also their 29th Finals appearance as a franchise. Coach Phil Jackson will try to get his 10th NBA Championship as a coach for the Bulls and the Lakers. The league's MVP Kobe Bryant led the Lakers with 39 points and 3 rebounds, while Lamar Odom added 13 points and 8 rebounds. May 29, 2008; Enrollment day! :)

I woke up early today because of the enrollment. My eyes suddenly opened at around 6 am. After which, I ate my breakfast, then took a bath, then wore my uniform, then off we go. We left the house at around 8:30 and we arrived at UST at around 10. I met up with my friends there so that we could enroll all at the same time. We chose basketball as our P.E., and by the way, we have 3 major subjects for this semester! Woohoo! And while we are queueing up, of course, we talked to each other about what happened during summer. So there! After all the procedures were done, we left! Haha! My friends ate while me and my mom went to Binondo to follow my dad, because he went straight there after dropping us to UST. We finished enrolling at around 1:30 in the afternoon already, because of the influx of the students. So there! Upon arriving at Binondo, we ate a late lunch. Then, we went to my dad's client at QC. After which, we went to Robinson's Galeria to play billiards and bowling at Paeng's Skybowl. My dad beat me at billiards, seven racks to six. Then in bowling, at the first sheet, I've beaten him, but he won the second. After playing, we ate dinner at Mangan, and man, the food there was cool! We ate pinakbet, sisig and caldereta! Only three dishes would really make you crave for some more! Haha! Mathc it up with bottomless iced tea, and you would almost forget your name! So there! After which, we went home already.

And now, for the result of today's NBA playoff game between the Detroit Pistons and the Boston Celtics. The game was close for its entirety, but the Celtics showed the world why they have the best win-loss record this season by beating the Pistons, 106-102, to grab the 3-2 series tied. Now they are one win away to a ticket to the NBA Finals after 22 years of not advance to that stage. Kevin Garnett led the Celtics and all scorers with 33 points and 7 rebounds, while three others had double figures, namely Ray Allen having 29 points, Kendrick Perkins having 18 points and Paul Pierce having 16 points. The Pistons however, were led by Chauncey Billups with 26 points and 6 assists, while Rip Hamilton added 25 points for them. The series will go back to Detroit for Game 6 on Saturday, 8:30 a.m., to be shown LIVE on C/S RPN.

Detroit 102
Boston 106
DET: Chauncey Billups- 26 pts, 5 rebs, 6 assts, 1 stl.
BOS: Kevin Garnett- 33 pts, 7 rebs, 2 assts, 1 stl.

The Lakers lead the game early on, even extending the margin to 14 points, 22-8. But the Spurs had a run to inch back to the game. The Spurs even managed to tie the game 5 times. The league's MVP Kobe Bryant finished the game with 28 points and 10 rebounds, while Lamar Odom added 16 points and 9 rebounds. The Spurs on the other hand, were led by Tim Duncan with 29 points and 17 rebounds, while Tony Parker and Brent Barry added 23 points each. May 27, 2008; An appointment!

I woke up today at around 6 in the morning. And do you want to know why? Because of my mom who played an audio CD in the DVD player, which happened to have big speakers. So I woke up because of the voice of Barry Manilow, the album that my mom played on the player. I ate my breakfast after rising and shining, and the good thing is that, my favorite viand was there! Danggit! Haha! Along with vinegar! Oohh-weehh! Uber delicious! After which, I watch TV, waiting for the game between the Celtics and the Pistons. After watching the game, I ate my lunch. Then, I went to my dentist for my monthly appointment with her, because of my retainers. After which, returned back home, watched TV, then when I got bored, I just played my PSP. After visiting them, we ate at House of Mini's at Pasig. Ate a huge tenderloin steak! Then, we went home at around 10:30 in the evening. So there!

I slept around 11 in the evening and woke up at 8 a.m. Ate my breakfast then watched the playoffs live! After which, I ate my lunch and watched Eat Bulaga! The longest running variety show in the Philippines! They are now on their 29th year! After watching, I opened my laptop and here I am!

May 22, 2008; A Double Year for United!

Yesterday night, the second game of our best-of-three championship commenced. It started pretty late at around 8:30 in the evening. The game was pretty close during the first 2 quarters. Actually, we led by one at the end of the first half. But the third quarter I think made the difference. Our counterparts had a big run and they led by as many as sixteen. But, we managed to hold on and we had our own run to cut the deficit to one. But, i think they were the better team yesterday. They held on to win by 11 points. I scored eight points yesterday, but that wasn't enough. So there. We finished as the bridesmade's, while our opponents were declared the champions. It's ok, were all friends. Haha!

And for soccer news, the Manchester United Football Club defeated the Chelsea Football Club, 6-5 by penalties, to win the coveted UEFA Champions League trophy, much to the delight of the Reds' fans who went to the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow, Russia to witness the crowning of the new champions. Sir Alex Ferguson, the first team coach of Man Utd, expressed his delight as his boys delivered a fantastic final game, especially to goalkeeper Edwin Van Der Sar, who saved the goal kick from Nicolas Anelka of the Blues. Chelsea's captain John Terry also missed in the shootout, with which would have won for them. During the normal playing time, Cristiano Ronaldo of the Reds scored a header during the first half, before Frank Lampard scored a goal during the injury time. The win made a double year for Manchester United, first by winning the Barclay's Premier League trophy a week ago, and now, the UEFA Champions League trophy. And after the match during the press conference, Cristiano Ronaldo ended all speculations the he will transfer to Real Madrid by telling everyone that he will be staying at Old Trafford for the Reds.

May 20, 2008; We lost...!

Yesterday afternoon, I went to LTO to have my student's driver's permit, and a finally got it! Now I can drive without the fear of being caught by a policeman without a license! The process however, took a lot of time because the address placed by the officers out there was wrong. So I said that they should change it. I waited for about 30 minutes for that. So there.

Then, during the evening, the first game of our best-of-three championship commenced. The game was close during the first three quarters, but one of our players picked up his final foul, thus, ending his night and probably our night as well. I scored seven points, but it wasn't enough because we lost by seventeen points. And probably another reason we lost was one of our premiere players wasn't able to make it because I think he went somewhere. So there. We'll try to avenge our loss on Game 2.

And now, I will post the result of yesterday's game. Sorry for not posting yesterday...here it is!

Cleveland 92
Boston 97
CLE: LeBron James- 45 pts, 5 rebs, 6 assts, 2 stls.
BOS: Paul Pierce- 41 pts, 4 rebs, 5 assts, 2 stls.
Celtics win series 4-3.
Now faces Pistons for the East Championship.
Tomorrow, 8:30 a.m. LIVE Game 1 of the East Finals.

And now, the seventh and deciding game between the San Antonio Spurs and the New Orleans Hornets, wherein the winner will face the Los Angeles Lakers for the West Championship.

The Spurs showed that they are the defending champions by defeating the young Hornets, 91-82, to face the Lakers on the West Finals, breaking the hearts of all the fans inside the New Orleans Arena. All-NBA Third Team member Manu Ginobili led the Spurs with 26 points and 5 assists, while Tony Parker had 17 points. The Hornets on the other hand were led by Dvaid West with 20 points and 9 rebounds, while Chris Paul had a double-double performance with 18 points and 14 assists on a losing effort.

What should I do today? Hmm... Only Batman knows...Haha! God bless everyone! Peace out and keep on blogging! The Wizard was here...

May 18, 2008; Too early to play basketball!

My dad woke me up at around a quarter to 6 a.m. for us to play basketball. We played one-on-one while waiting for other players to come. We played three games, all of which were up to 24 points, and every basket is worth one point. Me and my dad were teammates, along with three others. We lost the first game by 4 points. Then, when the rematch came, we fought back and won by 6 points. The third game was more like the seocnd game, maybe because most of them were already tired. We won by 8 points. After which, we went home.

We ate our breakfast the moment we arrived at our house. Then, I took my bath. After that, my dad said that we will go to Robinson's Galeria for the sale :) So there! We went there at around 12:30 p.m., after we took my grandparents to their friend's funeral. We went all around the mall, buying stuff on sale, and many more. And while my mom bought her clothes, me and my dad played billiards once more! We played for 2 full hours, and after which, and I'm proud to say that, I won against him, 15 racks to 12! Haha! After playing, we decided to eat dinner at Shakey's. Then, of we go, back here to our beautiful home.

As we all know, there's no NBA playoff game today to make way for the opening game of the 2008 WNBA Season, wherein the LA Sparks defeated the Phoenix Mercury as rookie Candace Parker had and almosdt triple- double performance to lead the Sparks past the Diana Taurasi-led Mercury. Tomorrow morning will be the seventh and deciding game between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Boston Celtics. It will at 3:30 a.m., but it will be shown on a delayed basis on C/S RPN at 9:30 a.m.

May 16, 2008; Sorry for not posting yesterday...

Yesterday, me and my parents went to our province at Bataan because it was fiesta time there. We left the house at around 10 in the morning and we arrived there at 12:30 in the afternoon. Right when we arrived, we ate luch with our relatives. Then, we rested a bit, then a little chit-chat. And because it rained, we didn't have the chance to roam around. We had the opportunity late in the afternoon when the rain stopped. We went to our other relatives and to the recently built resthouse right atop of a hill. The air was so cool and refreshing! After which, we ate dinner, and they went videoke up until 10:30 in the evening. After which, we left the place, with many foods inside the car. Then, I listened to Boys Night Out on Magic 89.9, and man it was so funny and very titilating! Haha! So there. We arrived at around 12:30 in the morning, and we slept at around 1 am because we need to wake up early for the things we need to do today.

I woke up at aronud 8:30 in the morning. We took my uncle to the airport because he will go back to New Zealand. We ate lunch at Danny's Grill near the airport, and man, my uncle ordered like there's no tomorrow! I was so full! Then, it was time to say bon voyage to my uncle, even if it rained hard. After which, we went home. And now, here I am.
