March 30, 2009; Once again, we lost...

Last night, I had a basketball game at around 9:30 pm. The start was good. We led most of the 1st quarter. But, the opposing team got into the groove on the succeeding quarters. Although we had a run during the 3rd quarter, they still found a way to stop our offense and have their own run.

And eventually, they won the game, winning their 3 straight. While for our team, the losing streak is still on at 3. Our next game would be on Saturday, April 4, at 7:30 in the evening. I hope that we could bounce back from the consecutive defeats that we are facing right now.

March 29, 2009; The Pistons spoiled Agent Zero's comeback!

It's official. He was telling the truth. He came back. The one. The only. Agent Zero. Gilbert Arenas.

But, as they all say, things don't go as expected. As the Detroit Pistons, led by the 31-point performance of Rip Hamilton, spoiled the comeback by defeating the Wizards, 98-96, infront of the D.C. crowd.

Nevertheless, Arenas did pretty good on his first game since April 27, 2008, recording a double-double performance, scoring 15 points, grabbing three rebounds and dishing 10 assists. Their next game will be tomorrow against the Indiana Pacers.

I woke up early once again to practice for tonight's basketball game. So tiring, but it's part of it. You can't do it without going to the hard way. So there. I'm pretty confident that our team will win. The 2-game losing skid will be over!

For all you Gilbert Arenas fans (including yours truly), check this out!

This just in! Gilbert Arenas, the three-time All-Star guard from the Washington Wizards, said that he will suit up on Saturday's game (Sunday here in Manila) against the Detroit Pistons. He began practicing in full speed with the entire team just last month. So, we better watch out for that! Even though the Wizards are showing a dismal performance this season, with the worst record in the East at 16-56, primarily because of his absence. Let's all watch out for that! I hope he won't disappoint the millions who follow him!

Today was a rather busy day for me. Primarily because I was out of the house with my parents. I went with them since I have nothing much to do. We went to Binondo to buy some materials that my dad needs for his job, then went to Makati to get something (poker chip) from a client and brought it to one of my dad's bestfriend's office along EDSA-Pioneer. Then went straight to the supermarket to get some groceries. So there. Quite a long day, isn't it? Keeping myself busy. Haha!

And now, back to work as I type in the results from the NBA!

March 23, 2009; Wasn't able to come...

I wasn't able to make it to two events this past week. First, the debut of my blockmate, Jayme, at the Sofitel Philippine Plaza last Friday. It's due to the fact that me and my parents left early Saturday morning for the Golden Wedding Anniversary of my grandparents (mother side). It also served as a family reunion of some sort. Some sort because one of my uncles wasn't able to make it because he's working in the Middle East.

Next was the outing, which was yesterday up until tomorrow morning, meaning, they are still there as of this time. Now, the reason is that I never knew that we will spend the night there. The burial of one of our relatives was set the next day, so there. I wasn't able to bring my cellphone charger, that's why I wasn't able to contact my classmates. So there, I want to apologize to those who tried to contact me during the past few days. Hope you guys are having fun/ had fun there in beautiful Batangas. I'mma just plan another outing for the block you guys. Sorry once again.

So there.

March 16, 2009; 2 down, 4 to go! Histo tomorrow!

I had my PGCART (Philippine Government with Agrarian Reform and Taxation) and SCL3 (Sociology) final exams. They were fairly easy to say the least. Especially SCL because it was a essay type! I love writing long paragraphs! Thanks to the training from my HS days in OB. We were asked to pick 5 out of the 12 questions and we need to respond by writing a 20-sentence long paragraph. So there.

Tomorrow is a BIG day! Histology! Major day! I can do this! I will do it! Push it to the limit baby! Bring it on! And it's good because no other subjects will be on tomorrow except that, so I will have more tome to focus on my major. I am asking for support from God to please give me the wisdom and the knowledge to answer each and every question which will be given tomorrow on our online final exams. Thy will be done! With God, anything is possible! Impossible is I'm possible! Let's get it on!

Now, here are the results from today's NBA action!

Indiana 87
Toronto 100

March 13, 2009; Next Attraction: Final Exams

It's a weekend. Perfect time to unwind and to mentally prepare myself for the upcoming days. Another week of studying, another week of sacrifice, another week of agony. But, there's always a light at the end of the tunnel. And the light that I'm talking about is vacation. After the exams, it's off to another summer vacation! The more that I will do my darn best for this exams. It's the perfect motivation!

It's like we're now in the 4th quarter of the basketball game with 2 minutes remaining in the game clock. What are you going to do when the opponent leads by 5? Of course, you will strive harder and push yourself to the limit until you find yourself in that comfort zone. That way you will win the game.

I do hope and pray that the exams would be manageable enough so that I won't have a hard time answering it. I do believe in myself that I can do it! Bring it on!

And now, let's digress as I bring you the results from the NBA!

LA Lakers 102 (52-13)
San Antonio 95 (43-21)
LAL: Pau Gasol- 23 pts, 11 rebs, 3 assts, 1 stl.
SAS: Tony Parker- 25 pts, 2 rebs, 9 assts.

Cleveland 119 (51-13)
Phoenix 111 (34-31)
CLE: LeBron James- 34 pts, 10 rebs, 13 assts, 3 stls.
PHX: Matt Barnes- 21 pts, 4 rebs, 5 assts, 1 stl.

And now, here are the results from the PBA!

1st Game
Sta. Lucia 100 (3-1)
Barako Bull 91 (1-3)
SLR: Anthony Johnson- 43 pts, 21 rebs, 1 asst.
BB: Scooter McFadgon- 38 pts, 6 rebs, 2 assts.

2nd Game
Purefoods 103 (2-1)
San Miguel 122 (3-0)
PUR: Kerby Raymundo- 19 pts, 6 rebs, 3 assts.
SMB: Dorian Pena- 17 pts, 11 rebs, 1 asst, 2 stls.

And now, here are the results from the UEFA Champions League.

Manchester United fought, and defeated Internazionale Milan, 2-0, inside Old Trafford in the 2nd leg of their round of 16 match. Nemanja Vidic scored the first salvo just 4 minutes into the game, while Cristiano Ronaldo placed the icing on the cake on the 49th minute. The win advances Man United to the quarterfinal round of the Champions League. They are still on the running to win 5 titles this season, after winning the FIFA Club World Cup in Japan and the Carling Cup. They lead the Barclays Premier League with 65 points, they are still part of the FA Cup and the UEFA Champions League. If ever they win it all, they will rewrite history as they surpass their own feat back in 1999 when they won the illustrious "Treble", the Premier League, the FA Cup and the Champions League trophies, all in one season. They are the defending champions of the Champions League and the Premier League.

So there you have it! You guys have just been fed!

Hope you guys had a wonderful Friday the 13th! Take care to those who will go out tonight! Buckle up and may you have a happy weekend! :)

God bless you guys! Stay safe! Peace out! The Wizard was here... :)

Now here are the American Idol Season 8 results!

The top 13 contestants had their performances yesterday, and today is the judgment day! 2 of them were eliminated, they were Jorge Nunez and Jasmine Murray. 33 million votes were cast, the most so far this season. They sang songs by the King of Pop himself, Michael Jackson. The vote difference between Anoop Desai and Jorge Nunez were 3 million votes.

And this season, they've added a twist. It's the "judge's save". It is where a contestant can be saved by the judges whenever they are eliminated. But, the judges could only use this ONCE for the entire season, just up to the top 5. Unfortunately, they didn't save Jorge nor Jasmine from elimination. They were both sent packing.

So there you have it! You guys have just been fed!

Hope you had a wonderful "over the hump" day Thursday! It's Friday the 13th tomorrow! Will it be lucky or not? Let's all find out! :)

God bless you guys! Stay safe! Peace out! The Wizard was here... :)
