Just around the corner!
From the moment I'm typing this text, I and most the OBMC students only have an 38 hours and 30 minutes left on our summer vacation, then, of to the races! The school year 2006-2007 will begin! And FYI, the lists of the sections are already in the lobby, so if you want to be ahead of the others, go check it out in OBGH (or from whatever branch you may be).Tomorrow morning will be Game 2 of the NBA Finals between the Dallas Mavericks and the Miami Heat which will be held @ the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. The best-of-seven series is led by the Mavs, 1-0.Good luck to all of us for this school year!
Not too fancy!
I would like to start this post with the result of yesterday's Game 1 of the NBA Finals. The Dallas Mavericks came from behind to defeat the Miami Heat, 90-80, and to draw first blood in their best-of-seven series, now leading 1-0. "The Jet" Jason Terry scored 32 points, with that are key three pointers in the second half to start their run and to lead the game. And for the Heat, "The Flash" Dwyane Wade scored 28 points in a losing effort. At first, Wade was unstoppable, but the good defense of Jerry Stackhouse and Devin Harris forced him to pass the ball the his other teammates. The second game of the series will be tomorrow morning at 9:00 am, simulcast on Solar Sports and RPN 9. If you want commentary from Mike Breen and Hubie Brown, watch it on Solar Sports because they show the English broadcast. But if your much into the Filipino broadcast, you better tune in to RPN 9 because you can hear Vitto Lazatin and "The Dean" Quinito Henson live @ the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas and up to the end of the Finals series.Today, I woke up at 8:20 in the morning because I should have went to UP Diliman to get my application form for the UPCAT this coming August. But, we called up UP, there's no one answering the phone. Later on, we found out that UP is closed for Saturdays. So, I just went to my dentist because I have my monthly check-up (because of my braces, and 6 months left before my braces will be removed, yay! After the braces, in comes Mr. Retainer). After the check-up, returned here in our house. I watched TV. I ate lunch. Then watched TV once more, then now, internet. Later on, I will watch TV again. Just another bum day. 63 hours left on the summer vacation, and I'm heck excited to go back to school for this school year. For this is my final year as a high school student. And next year will embark a new step in my student life, as a college student.Tomorrow, I don't really know what will I do. Maybe another "family day" (go out with my parents). Hope it won't be a bum day. And I hope that the remaining hours of this summer vacation will be as good as the first two and a half months of it.
June 7, 2006; Review: "The Omen: 6 + 06 +06"
Last night, me, together with my parents, watched "The Omen: 6 + 06 + 06" @ the Promenade, GSC. And I must say, that if you think that the movie was scary? Based from my experience, it was not scary, it was just frightening, or in Tagalog, "nakakagulat". And, (WARNING: Spoiler news ahead!") in the ending of the movie, you need to prepare to be mad mad mad! Beacause of Mrs. Baylock (the nanny) and Damien (the son of Mr. Robert Thorn and Kathy Thorn). So, you better watched the movie! My rating for the movie is : 4 stars!Yesterday, after the movie, we ate at KFC. Sarap! Sulit na sulit! Hehe! Tapos, uwi na. Pagadating sa bahay, wash wash wash, tapos tulog, around 12:15 midnight. Tapos, ngayong umaga, nagising ako ng around 9:00 am. Pagkagising, wash wash wash ulit, tapos, conditioning (exercise), tapos, kain. Tapos ng kain, ligo! Haha! Sarap! Tapos, eto na, computer! Haha! Nice wun!Tomorrow morning is the start of the 2006 NBA Finals. It will be against two teams who are hungry for the championship title, the Dallas Mavericks and the Miami Heat. Who will win between these two teams? Red or blue? Miami or Dallas? That's for me to know and for you guys, to find out!
June 6, 2006; The Omen, The "Curse"?
Today is the 6th day of the 6th month of the 6th year of the millenium. Today is 6-6-06. This is the "cursed" day as what many people believe. Today also marks the premiere of the motion picture film, "The Omen", starring Julia Stiles. The story of that movie is about the saidd "curse" of this particular day. But for me, if you believe that there's in deed a God, then you won't believe that said "curse".In case you are wondering, the NBA Finals will begin Friday morning here in Manila. It will be Game 1 between the Western Conference Champions Dallas Mavericks and the Eastern Conference Champions Miami Heat. It will be held at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. This is the game-by-game format of the NBA Finals 2006:Game 1: Miami @ DallasGame 2: Miami @ DallasGame 3: Dallas @ MiamiGame 4: Dallas @ MiamiGame 5: Miami @ Dallas (if necessary)Game 6: Dallas @ Miami (if necessary)Game 7: Miami @ Dallas (if necessary)FYI: Home Courts:Dallas: American Airlines Center (seating capacity: 19,200)Miami: American Airlines Arena (seating capacity: 19, 600)So, that's it. What team will you be routing on? Miami or Dallas? And the question is, who will be the new NBA Champions for this year? This school year is about to begin for me. There's only 1 week left for me to enjoy this year's summer vacation. Then, it's crunch time once more. My new goal this school year is for me to prove myself that I can do better. And to do the best I can.
June 5, 2006; Happy Birthday Dad!
Birthday ng dad ko ngaun! Hehe! Mya, may konting pakain! Nice wun! Nga pla, hindi ako nakapag-post for the past 2 days, dahil my dahilan! Nung Saturday, super lakas ng ulan. Galing kami ng Binondo because my dad bought materails for his job. 4 pm, pauwi na kami. Nung nasa Ortigas Ext. na kami, bigla ngang bumuhos yung ulan. Tapos, nagbaha. So, super traffic kasi, madaming car na ayaw lumusong sa baha. So, nadamay kami sa katangahan nila. E kami, kayang-kaya naman sanang lumusong, yun nga lang, yung mga kotse na nasa harapan namin, takot! So, ayun. Haha! 12:45 na akong nakadating sa house. Sabi ko sa inyo, panalo si Kim sa PBBTE e. Inuuto lang kayo ni Big Brother. Haha!Nung Saturday din nga pala, for the first time in franchise history, the Miami Heat will go on to the NBA Finals as they've defeated the Detroit Pistons, 95-78, as they won the series in six games, and for that, they are the Eastern Conference Champions . Shaq's been there, their coach, Pat Riley, is no stranger to the Finals, the Glove had been there a couple of times. But for Dwyane Wade, Antoine Walker and the rest of the Heat, it will just be their baptism in the Finals. Will it be the difference come the Finals in Thursday (Friday morning, Manila time)? And just yesterday, again, for the first time in their 26-year franchise history, the Dallas Mavericks, are the Western Conference Champions as they've defeated the Phoenix Suns, 102-93, as they won the series in six games. They will be going on to play in the NBA Finals with the Miami Heat starting June 8 (June 9 in Manila). And mark this, NO SINGLE PLAYER IN THIS MAVERICK TEAM HAD BEEN IN THE FINALS! Except for thier coach, Avery Johnson. So, will it be a factor come Friday? We will just need to find out! As the Miami Heat and Dallas Mavericks square off in this year's NBA Finals!Kahapon naman, pumunta kami ng SM Megamall. La lang, gala-gala. Haha! Medyo madaming tao. Normal naman yun e. Sayang nga e, dapat bibili kami ng LCD TV, kaso, naisip ng dad ko na kung maganda ba yun, he needs to consult my T3 magazines ditro sa house. Para alam nya kung ano ba talaga yung maganda. Hehe! So, ayon. Tapos nun, mga 5:30, punta kami ng Tiendesitas. Kasi, bibili din dapat ng damit mom ko dun for my granpa's 80th b-day. E wala din, so ayon. Bumili nalang ako ng gift ko for my dad. Hehe! Nice! After nun, uwi na. Nood ng PBA! Nag galing ng Ginebra grabe! Mga bangko na nga lang yung mga player, nanalo pa! Ayus! 11,302 ang tao sa Araneta kahapon! Si Mark Caguioa lang yung talagang umiskor with his new career-high 45 points. Tapos, nood ng the Big Reunion. Tapos, tulog na! Haha! Yun! Ngaun naman, lang magawa! Haha! Celebrate nalng! Hapi b-day dad!
June 2, 2006; Splen-DIRK!
It was a splen-Dirk night for the Dallas Mavericks as they went on to defeat the Phoenix Suns, 117-101, to lead their best-of-seven West Finals series 3 games to 2. It was splen-Dirk because of the performance of Dirk Nowitzki, who had his playoff scoring career-high of 50 points in 14 out of 26 shots from the field, 5 out of 6 from the 3-point area and 17 out of 18 from the free throw line. He also had 12 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 steal. He was supported by Josh Howard who scored 23 points, had 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and 1 blocked shot. And for the losing team, the Suns, they were led by Tim Thomas who scored 26 points, with 6 out 8 from down town. He also had 3 rebounds and 1 assist. MVP Steve Nash and Shawn Marion both scored 20 points. Nash had 6 rebounds, 11 assists, 1 steal and 1 blocked shot. Marion, on the other hand, had 10 rebounds and 1 steal. The series will be shifted back to the US Airways Center in Phoenix, Arizona for Game 6 of this West Finals, Dallas leads series 3-2. Tomorrow, it'll be the 6th game of the East Finals between the Detroit Pistons and the Miami Heat, and on that series, Miami leads 3-2. And it'll be held at the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida. This day is just a fine day. With mathing strong rain, wind, lightning and thunder in the late afetrnoon 'till early evening. I woke up at around 8:30 in the morning. Fixed up my bed, washed my face, gargled, did conditioning (push-ups and sit-ups), ate breakfast (fried egg and rice). Then I watched the Playoffs (see the results above). Then lots of stuff. Now, here am I in the front of the computer typing it. Hehe! Tomorrow will be a busy day once more. Better get some good rest for another wonderful day tomorrow. Good night!
June 1, 2006; 1 week and a half to go: better enjoy the vacation!
I'm done with my books, also done with my notebooks, almost done with my self-study program, and now, I jiust have 1 week and 5 days left to enjoy the vacation. Wow, just imagine how time flies by. I've placed the stickers of my notebooks just the other day. And I've covered my books with plastic cover just a while ago. I've already paid the tuition fee, the materials and all the stuff back in the 28th of April. The only thing left is the blazer and the slacks. Maybe I should get it next week, maybe it's already done on that time. I would like to apologize to the people who patronized my page and looking at yhe results and box scores from the on-going NBA Playoffs. I didn't have the time to post for the past 2 days. Now, this is it! A while ago, in the Palace of Auburn Hills in Auburn Hills, Michigan, the Detroit Pistons avoided another elimination game by beating the Miami Heat, 91-78, to improved their best-of-seven series, 3 games to 2, but Miami is still leading the series, 1 win away and they will enter the NBA Finals. Chauncey Billups had a double-double performance scoring 17 points and dished out 10 assists, he also had 1 TO and a perfect night from the free throw stripe with 11 out of 11. And another huge night for the Prince, Tayshaun Prince, who scored 29 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Rip Hamilton also had a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds. And as for the Heat, Dwyane Wade scored 23 points and grabbed 3 rebounds while "Big Diesel" Shaquille O'Neal scored 19 points and had 6 rebounds. Tomorrow will be Game 5 of the West Finals between the Dallas Mavericks and the Phoenix Suns which will be held @ the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. That series is tied with 2 wins by each team.Guys, better enjoy the rest of the vacation because when school comes, you won't have this kind of time to relax! Enjoy! Sana man lang... Hayy....
