January 28, 2010 (Part 1); Arenas, Crittenton suspended for the season

This news is from NBA.com guys. :)

NBA commissioner David J. Stern has suspended Gilbert Arenas for the rest of the season, and the Washington Wizards' star guard has told associates that he will not appeal the league's decision, according to league source.

Arenas has been suspended without pay since early January for his role in an incident with teammate Javaris Crittenton in which both Arenas and Crittenton brought guns into the team's locker room at Verizon Center in Washington, D.C., a violation of both the league's constitution and of the city's laws requiring any guns in the city be licensed in Washington and kept in the home. Arenas brought his guns from his Virginia home.

Crittenton also was suspended for the rest of the season in the decision handed down Wednesday afternoon.

The suspension will cost Arenas the final 50 games of the season and an approximate $7.4 million of his $16.1 million salary this season. After this season, Arenas, who was the Wizards' leader in scoring this season at 22.6 ppg, and assists at 7.2 apg, has four years and $80.1 million remaining on his six year, $111 million contract extension he signed in 2008.

So there you go. The woes for the Wizards continue this season. Right now, they are the 14th ranked team in the Eastern Conference with a record of 14-30. And without Arenas, things aren't looking that good for the Flip Saunders-led team, unless all the others will step up their game, like Antawn Jamison, Caron Butler, Mike Miller and Randy Foye, along with many others.

God bless you guys! Stay safe! Peace out! The Wizard was here...:)

Comments, questions and suggestions are highly appreciated! :)

January 27, 2010 (Part 1); Fairly well...:)

This day is somewhat a so-so day for me to say the least. My Histopath quiz was good, my Pre-Prelims in Pharmacology was well...I don't know? Haha! I know I did my best though. Good thing our quiz for Immunology/Serology didn't push through.

But look on the bright side though, I don't have classes for tomorrow, again, due to the Feast of St. Thomas Aquinas, our school's patron saint. A four-day school week for me! A first in quite a long time! Haha! More time to rest, and digest! Hahaha!

Watched American Idol a while ago, from the City of Angels, Los Angeles, California, with guest judges Avril Lavigne and Katy Perry, along with the standards, namely Randy Jackson, Kara DioGuardi and Simon Cowell. Great talents, great auditions, great show. Another episode will be shown tomorrow evening at 6:00 PM via satellite on QTV Channel 11 and Star World, with an encore on 8:00 PM for both networks and around 10 or 11PM for Star World.

January 9, 2010 (Part 2); Wizards climbs past Magic without Arenas, and more!

This morning, ESPN showed the Wizards-Magic game live from the Verizon Center. And for some of you who wasn't able to catch the game, Antawn Jamison, team captain of the Wizards, got the microphone and spoke infront of a sellout crowd of 20,173 strong about the controversies happening in the organization.

Speaking in behalf of his teammates, Jamison vowed that anything that has happened was not of their liking, and that the team will continue to fight and remain as one of the most respectable teams in the league.

That speech made by Jamison may have sparked the entire Wizard team, as they won against heavily favored Orlando, 104-97.

The win marks the Wizards' 12th win in 34 contests, and their first win against the Magic in 3 years.

January 9, 2010 (Part 1); First post of the decade! :)

The 2000's has just passed, and now, in come the 10's! New year, new decade, and a new beginning for each and everyone of us!

Happy New Year to each and everyone of you guys! May the Year of the Metal Tiger be a great one for me, my family, my friends, and to everybody! :)

I spent the holidays in Bangkok with my family. We stayed for five days from the 23rd of December up until the 27th. Then, in a sudden turn of events, instead of spending our New Year's at home and cracking fireworks while at it, we just went to Puerto Princesa City in the province of Palawan. We flew in on the 31st then went back on the 2nd of this month.

Words alone cannot describe my experience to those two places, so maybe the photographs could do the talking. Check out my Multiply and Facebook pages for the pictures :)

Well, to say the least, Bangkok is a place for all you shoppaholics. But I must warn you that it gets hotter there than being here in Manila. Haha!

While Puerto Princesa is one of the cleanest cities I've been to. You cannot throw your garbages anywhere, or else, you will pay the fine of P200 for your first offense, P300 for the second, and P500 for the third offense plus community service for two months.

The highlight of that nature trip was the Subterranean River. Truly an undescribable experience for me. It was indeed, a wonder.

And now, with just days after those thrilling trips, I'm back to reality, as so goes everybody around the world as school and work resume! Oh well, that's life, we all should just deal with it, and be happy :)

So there you have it! You guys have just been fed!

God bless you guys! Stay safe! Peace out! The Wizard was here...:)

Comments, questions and suggestions are highly appreciated! :)
