May 7, 2009 (Part 5); NBA All-Defensive Teams announced
News just in!
This year's NBA All-Defensive Teams are finally assembled. These are the players who exemplified the ethic of defense this season.
Dwight Howard, the Defensive Player of the Year, headlined the First Team with 55 total points, with 27 first-place votes.
First-place votes are considered as two points, while second-place votes count as one.
The voting panel consists of all 30 NBA head coaches, who were asked to select NBA All-Defensive First and Second Teams via their position. They cannot vote a player from their own team.
Here are the players who are part of the First and Second Teams.
