May 7, 2009 (Part 2); It's Barca vs United in the European Final

Just when Chelsea F.C. thought they've had the game in the books, one guy would just spoil everything.

Michael Essien made the only goal for Chelsea with just 9 minutes into the game, much to the delight of the fans inside Stamford Bridge.

But on extra time, Lionel Messi placed a nice pass to Andres Iniesta, who in turn slips his shot past Petr Cech for the game-tying goal.

That goal is by far the most important goal for Barca this year, because according to ther away-goal rule, if the 2nd leg ended in a tie after a tie in the 1st leg, the away-team will win the match. Therefore, Barca wins, eliminating Chelsea out of the Champions League.

They will face Manchester United in the final on May 27th to be held at Rome, Italy.

Chelsea failed to forge a rematch with Manchester United. It is still vivid in our minds that the two English clubs faced each other in the Champions League final last year in Moscow, wherein the Red Devils got their third Champions League trophy.

Barca will try to reclaim the Champions League crown without the services of Abidal and Danny Alves, who are both suspended. Barca took the title back in 2006.

It's going to be a classic since last year, Manchester United eliminated Barca in last year's Champions League.

It's not an All-English final after all, as most analysts predicted. It's Spain against England. It's Barca against United. Will United repeat this year, or would Barca reclaim the title? Let's all find out on the 27th.

UEFA Champions League

More to come guys!
