April 23, 2009; Magic ties series with Sixers; Bulls' Rose grab Rookie of the Year honors
Whenever Dwight Howard doesn't deliver his usual stats, his teammates are always there to back him up.
The Orlando Magic avoided a 0-2 slump as they beat the Philadelphia 76ers, 96-87, to tie their series at 1 game a piece.
Courtney Lee led the way for the Magic with 24 points and 3 rebounds. Five other Magic players scored in double figures, led by 16 points each from Rashard Lewis and Hedo Turkoglu and 11 points each from Anthony Johnson, Rafer Alston and Howard, who also grabbed 10 rebounds.
Court general Andre Miller led the Sixers with 30 points while Andre Iguodala had 21 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists.

Derrick Rose of the Chicago Bulls won the T-Mobile Rookie of the Year award just this morning. He is the third Bulls player in history to win the award after Michael Jordan and Elton Brand. He received 111 first-place votes with a total of 574 points from a national panels of sports writers and broadcasters. O.J. Mayo of the Grizzlies placed second with 127 points, Brook Lopez of the Nets, Russell Westbrook of the Thunder and Eric Gordon of the Clippers rounded out the top 5.
In other news, Ricky Rubio of Spain, declared last night that he will be part of this year's NBA Draft. He was told that he will be a high pick that's why he decided to be a part of the draft. The Sacramento Kings, Los Angeles Clippers and Washington Wizards are the top three teams that could get the services of Rubio, who rose to fame on the 2008 Beijing Olympics as a part of the silver-medalist Spanish national team.

Lil Rounds and Anoop Desai were eliminated from the competition. The bottom three were them and Allison Iraheta. And performances from David Archuleta, Freda Payne, Thelma Houston and KC were featured. It will be shown later on tonight at 6:00 PM on QTV and Star World. So if you want to be ahead of everybody else, go spill the beans on them! :) Lil and Anoop are eliminated!

Paul Scholes made his 600th appearance for the Red Devils last night. The win means that United are again the leaders of the Premier League with 74 points, with a game on hand against rivals Liverpool ands Chelsea.
