April 22, 2009; Cavs survive Pistons' late run, Idol spoilers!
The Cleveland Cavaliers were lucky enough this time. They were outscored by the Pistons, 32-17 in the final quarter, capped off by a 14-0 run, which reduced the lead from a high of 29, to a low of just 7 points. The Cavs though, hung on to win, 94-82, to have a 2-0 series lead over the Detroit Pistons.
LeBron James led the Cavs with a double-double performance, scoring 29 points and grabbing 13 rebounds. Guards Mo Williams and Delonte West each added 21 and 20 points respectively. On the other side, Rip Hamilton led with 17 points, while three other Piston scored in double digits, led by Rodney Stuckey's 14, Will Bynum added 13 and Arron Afflalo pinched in 10.
Game 3 of the series will be on Saturday, April 25, at 7:00 AM with the series shifting to the Palace of Auburn Hills in Detroit.
