January 13, 2011; It's been quite a while!
Yes, it has been a long time since "The Wizard" has sat down and worked his fingers onto the keyboard to type on some random things.
It's the New Year, 2011, the Year of the Metal Rabbit in the Chinese calendar, and according to the Mayan calendar, this would be the second-to-the-last year of the Earth, and the second-to-the-last year before the grand party, according to Jay Sean and Nicki Minaj... Party like, like it's 2012...:)) hahaha!
Part mainly of my hiatus in the cyberspace is our internship. We're down to our final 2 months, and after which, we will prepare for our graduation! Come the 9th of April this year, we interns will become Bachelor's Degree holders. Medical Technology majors! Nice to the ears, isn't it?
After all the hardwork, all the sleepless nights, finally, the time has come for us to move on. Some would already take the board exams and go on to be licensed medical technologists, others might go to teaching and pursue a masteral degree.
While for the majority, I guess, would take the road beside Main Building, move past Plaza Tinoco, and onto the St. Martin de Porres Building (or to whichever school they want to be in), to pursue medical school. Yes, it is a never-ending path towards learning in the medical world, 'cause advances are rapidly setting in, especially now in the Computer Age.
I am excited for this part of the life to conclude. I want to start fresh in Med School. Less talk, more info. Enough said. For I believe that it's better to have a headstart over the others.
In the medical field, it's all about the name. It's all about whose name will be remembered by the rest. The Belos, The Calayans, they have the names that people trust. People entrust a part or the entirety of their body for examination, I mean that's huge. Credibility is set. Respect is set. All is there. That is due to a great foundation.
Start off right, to end off right. Great things come from small beginnings. So I'll take it one step at a time, towards greatness.
87 days to go until the huge Quadricentennial Celebration of our school, the Royal, Pontifical, University of Santo Tomas, the Catholic University of the Philippines.
I'm proud to be a Thomasian, onwards to April 9, 2011! :)
