October 27, 2010 (Part 1); 3 can't beat 5...
It's a rule in Basic Mathematics, that 5 is greater than 3.
That went to show as the Boston Celtics have defeated the newly-refurbished Miami Heat team on opening day, in front of a packed house TD Garden in Boston, Massachussetts, 88-80.
Ray Allen led the Celtic offense with 20 points, on 5 out of 8 from beyond the arc.
He placed the nail on the Heat's coffin with a quick release 3-pointer from the left hand corner witg less than a minute remaining in the final salvo, to increase their lead to six, 86-80.
Paul Pierce added 19 for the Celtics while Kevin Garnett had a solid game with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
The newest member of the Celtic lineup, Shaquille O'Neal finished the game with 9 points and 7 boards on 18 minutes of play.
The Heat were led by new recruit LeBron James, with 31 points, along with 4 boards and 3 assists.
Team captain Dwyane Wade had 13 points on a poor 4 out of 16 from the field, while Chris Bosh only had 8 points and 8 rebounds.
This marks Miami 12th loss in 13 regular season games against Boston.
