And he goes by the name of Don Nelson.
Finally, after seven long years of waiting, Hall of Famer coach Lenny Wilkens now has somebody with in the record books. Wilkens retired from coaching with 1,322 career wins. Now, with the Golden State Warriors beating the Toronto Raptors, 113-112, Nelson ties his long standing record.
"What a game to tie a record, huh? Unbelievable," Nelson said, "It had about everything that you'd want, from good to bad to playing great to wetting the bed and we did about all of it. Somehow we prevailed."
Corey Maggette had a big night for the Warriors, scoring 31 points, with 4 rebounds and 4 assists. Stephen Curry almost had a triple-double, with 29 points, with 8 rebounds and 12 assists, while Anthony Morrow contributed with 25 markers, along with 10 boards and 4 assists.
The Raptors on the other hand were led by Chris Bosh, who missed an open lay-up that should've won them the game in overtime. He finished with 42 points and 12 rebounds.
Jarrett Jack had 19 points, while Andrea Bargnani had 18 in a losing effort.
