September 5, 2009 (Part 1); Warriors, Tamaraws solidify slots
It's the 4th day of our preliminary examinations. For this day, we took our Clinical Chemistry exams for lecture and laboratory. I must say that I did well on that, maybe because of the way I reviewed my notes. I felt good after taking the exams! God I hope the results were of my expectations!
After the first exam, around 8:30 in the morning, me and my barkada went to Yellow Cab to celebrate my classmate, Aris's 21st birthday. Happy birthday bro! Thanks for the sumptuous meal! May you have more to come!
And now, back to business as I bring the results from the doubleheader just this afternoon from the 72nd season of your UAAP, from the FilOil Flying V Arena in San Juan City!
1st Game
NU 58 (2-11)
UE 70 (9-4)
NU: Jewel Ponferrada- 12 pts, 11 rebs, 1 asst, 1 blk.
UE: Paul Lee- 17 pts, 6 rebs, 3 assts, 1 stl.
2nd Game
FEU 71 (11-2)
DLSU 69 (5-8)
Final/OT
FEU: Reil Cervantes- 20 pts, 8 rebs, 1 blk.
DLSU: Hyram Bagatsing- 12 pts, 4 rebs, 1 asst.
With the win, UE and FEU have solidified their places in the Final Four, with the Tamaraws still on the hunt of the 1st place, while UE locked the 3rd spot.
On the other hand, DLSU will now hope that UST would drop their final two games in order for them to tie and force a playoff, provided that they win against NU on their final game. One win for UST would mean goodbye for DLSU this season, a first for head coach Franz Pumaren.
Here are the games for tomorrow!
