June 3, 2009 (Part 1); DOH confirms 22nd case of A(H1N1) in the country
Let's digress a bit for some health news.
According to GMA News, in a press conference today, Health secretary Francisco Duque III has confirmed the latest case was a foreign exchange student from the De La Salle University along Taft Avenue in Manila, making it the 22nd case in our country, the most in Southeast Asia.
Following the said discovery, the classes in DLSU will be suspended for 10 days, starting tomorrow, June 4, until June 14.
The Health secretary advised all the students, particularly those who came in close contact with the said student, to observe self-quarantine and avoid malls and other crowded places.
I hope that no other students from the said institution and all other schools won't be inflicted by this virus.
I advise all you guys to have your anti-flu shots for preventive measures. I just had mine this morning. I won't hurt I promise.
There you have it.
God bless you guys! Stay safe! Peace out!
The Wizard was here... :)
