May 14, 2009 (Part 2); It's down to the final two on Idol, but who got cut?

The latest American Idol contestant who got the boot this week is...

Danny Gokey.

Yes, the 29-year old church musical director from Milwaukee, Wisconsin was voted off the competition as he received the lowest amount of votes.

It's now down to the final two. The battle is between the 23-year old Kris Allen from Conway, Arkansas and the 27-year old Adam Lambert from San Diego, California.

Also, the show had 2 guest performances. First up, from former Idol winner Jordin Sparks with her latest single "Battlefield" from her second studio album, which doesn't have a title yet, due to release on July 14th. The other performer is the hot and sultry Katy Perry with the fourth single entitled "Waking Up In Vegas", from her album "One Of The Boys".
