April 24, 2009; Mavs exploited Spurs; Premier League schedule
With Tim Duncan not playing his usual game, the Mavs made sure that they would never recover.
The Dallas Mavericks thought that they were playing a practice game as they defeated the Spurs, 88-67, to lead their series 2 games to 1.
The Mavs were led by former MVP Dirk Nowitzki with 20 points and 7 rebounds. Four other Mavericks scored in double figures, led by Josh Howard with 17, J.J. Barea with 13 points and 10 points each from Jason Terry and Brandon Bass.
The Spurs on one side were led by the 12 points of Tony Parker. He also had 4 rebounds and 3 assists. Tim Duncan was held to just four points, his lowest playoff output to date, on just 15 minutes of play. Fabricio Oberto was the only bright spot for the Spurs besides Parker. He scored 10 points and 4 rebounds.
Game 4 of the series will be played on Sunday, April 26 at 4:00 AM, still from Dallas, Texas.
