October 30, 2008; After 28 years, the Phillies finally won the World Series!

I started reading "New Moon" this morning, and I stopped reading right smack in the middle of Chapter 3. And I should admit that the start was thrilling! Woo! Haha! I will continue reading tomorrow morning. And I think I will buy the next 2 books from the series, namely "Eclipse" and "Breaking Dawn" tomorrow. The fifth book of the saga called "Midnight Sun" is still on the works, so there.

And now, back to business as I bring you guys all you need to know inside the world of sports!

With that win, the Red Devils now has 18 Premier League points, but still on 6th place, trailing Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, Aston Villa and Hull City in chronological order. While West Ham slips down to a tie for 10th place, with Sunderland, Everton and Blackburn Rovers. The Reds' next match will be against Hull City on Saturday, November 1 at 8:00 PM Manila time. Phillies win World Series for the first time since 1980.

Finally, after 28 long years, the Philadelphia Phillies finally won the World Series, beating the Tampa Bay Rays, 4-3. The win marks the city of Philadelphia's first title after 25 long years, since the Sixers won the NBA World Championship in 1983.
