The Philadelphia Phillies defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers, 5-1, to clinch the National League Championship, 4 games to 1. Cole Hamels was named the NLCS Most Valuable Player. The Phillies are now awaiting for the winner of the ALCS between the Tampa Bay Rays and the defending World Champs, the Boston Red Sox, where the Rays lead the series, 3 games to 1.
