October 1, 2008; Eid'l Fitr! No classes!

Today marks the end of the one month fasting and abstinence for our Muslim brothers. Today is the end of Ramadan. And because of it, we don't have classes today. But the thing is that, the typhoon just came in today. I hope that the storm signal here in Manila, which is now on number 2, will stay up until the weekend :) haha!

Meanwhile, the first night race in F1 history was a success last Sunday in Singapore, with Renault's Fernando Alonzo bagging the 1st place trophy. Williams-Toyota's Nico Rosberg came in 2nd, and McLaren-Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton finished 3rd. Ferrari's Felipa Massa and Kimi Raikkonen finished 13th and 15th, respectively. McLaren now leads Ferrari in the constructor's standings, 135-134. While Lewis Hamilton now leads Felipe Massa, 84-77 in the driver's standings. The next race will be in Japan on the 10-12 of October.

And congratulations to the San Beda Red Lions for winning 3 straight championships in the NCAA, the first member-school to accomplish this feat!
