June 21, 2008; Defense wins championships!

After 22 years, the Boston Celtics finally won the NBA Championship! They defeated the LA Lakers, 4 games to 2, with the Game 6 result of 131-92, the 2nd largest winning margin in NBA Finals history, the largest was during the 1997 NBA Finals wherein the Chicago Bulls defeated the Utah Jazz, 96-54. It was the Celtics' 17th title. Paul Pierce was declared the 2008 NBA Finals MVP.

Next week will be the WBC Lightweight Title fight between WBC Lightweight Champion David Diaz and our very own Manny Pacquiao. And for everyone's information, for those who are going to school at the City of Manila, there will be NO CLASSES on June 24, Tuesday, in lieu of the celebration of "Araw ng Maynila". So there!
