May 5, 2008; Celtics avoid upset!

Yesterday was a rest day. After two days at MegaMall, I had some rest, finally! After the mass, I watched the fight between Oscar De La Hoya and Steve Forbes, wherein as what I've posted yesterday, won by De La Hoya. Then, ate my lunch and watched some TV again. I slept a little bit, then ate merienda. My dad ordered GreenWich! Pizza and lasagna! It's delicious! So pretty much a bum day.

And now, here are the results of today's games from the 2008 NBA Playoffs!

First up, Game 7 between the Atlanta Hawks and the Boston Celtics from the TD Banknorth Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. Wherein the Celtics showed their dominance and avoided an upset by beating the Hawks bigtime, 99-65. The Celtics were led by their captain, "The Truth" Paul Pierce, with 22 points and 8 rebounds, while Kevin Garnett had a double-double performance with 18 points and 11 rebounds. The Hawks on the other hand were led by Joe Johnson with 16 points and 3 rebounds. The Celtics dominated since the start of the game and they never looked back. They will now be facing the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2nd round.

And finally, Game 1 of the West Semis between the Utah Jazz and the LA Lakers. Wherein the Lakers inched their way to victory, 109-98. Kobe Bryant poured in 38 points and 6 rebounds, while Pau Gasol had 18 points and 10 rebounds. Memo Okur led the Jazz with 21 points and 19 rebounds. Game 2 will be on Thursday, still at Los Angeles.
