May 3, 2008; Believe it or not, the Hawks forced Game 7!

Today was another big day. Worked out at Slimmer's MegaMall for the second consecutive day. Then, ate lunch at Yellow Cab. Afterwards, I watched "IronMan" with my high school friends. The movie was fine. The story was also great. Robert Downey, Jr. was a perfect fit for the leading role. After watching the movie, we played at TimeZone even though it was packed! I played Initial D, Battle Gear, and the basketball shootout. I wasn't able to play Maximum Tune3 because the people playing it never went out of their chairs even after hours of playing it! So there!

And now, the continuing coverage of the 2008 NBA Playoffs!

First up is Game 6 between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Washington Wizards. LeBron James' 3rd career playoff triple-double made the difference as they eliminated the Wizards, 105-88, to move on to the East semis. They are now waiting as to who are they facing, the Atlanta Hawks or the Boston Celtics, who will still have a 7th game. James had 27 points, 13 rebounds and 13 assists. Wally Szczerbiak added 26 points and Daniel Gibson had 22 for the Cavs. For the Wizards, Antawn Jamison scored 23 points and 15 rebounds. The loss marked the Wizards' third consecutive defeat to the Cavs in the first round of the playoffs.

Next, the sixth game of the series between the Boston Celtics and the Atlanta Hawks, wherein the Hawks pulled another upset against the Celtics, 103-100, to force the deciding Game 7 at Boston. The Hawks were led by Marvin Williams with 18 points and 4 rebounds. Five others scored in double figures for the Hawks. Kevin Garnett had 22 points and 7 rebounds for the Celtics. Game 7 will be played at Boston on Monday at 1:00 am.

And last but not least, its Game 6 between the Houston Rockets and the Utah Jazz. Wherein we saw Utah eliminated Houston, 113-91, to move on to the West semis to face the LA Lakers. Deron Williams scored 25 points and had 9 assists for the Jazz. Mehmet Okur added 19 points and 13 rebounds. Tracy McGrady's 40-point performance wasn't enough for the Rockets to force a Game 7, just like what the Hawks did earlier. T-Mac also had 10 rebounds and 5 assists.
