June 2, 2006; Splen-DIRK!

It was a splen-Dirk night for the Dallas Mavericks as they went on to defeat the Phoenix Suns, 117-101, to lead their best-of-seven West Finals series 3 games to 2. It was splen-Dirk because of the performance of Dirk Nowitzki, who had his playoff scoring career-high of 50 points in 14 out of 26 shots from the field, 5 out of 6 from the 3-point area and 17 out of 18 from the free throw line. He also had 12 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 steal. He was supported by Josh Howard who scored 23 points, had 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and 1 blocked shot. And for the losing team, the Suns, they were led by Tim Thomas who scored 26 points, with 6 out 8 from down town. He also had 3 rebounds and 1 assist. MVP Steve Nash and Shawn Marion both scored 20 points. Nash had 6 rebounds, 11 assists, 1 steal and 1 blocked shot. Marion, on the other hand, had 10 rebounds and 1 steal. The series will be shifted back to the US Airways Center in Phoenix, Arizona for Game 6 of this West Finals, Dallas leads series 3-2. Tomorrow, it'll be the 6th game of the East Finals between the Detroit Pistons and the Miami Heat, and on that series, Miami leads 3-2. And it'll be held at the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida.

This day is just a fine day. With mathing strong rain, wind, lightning and thunder in the late afetrnoon 'till early evening. I woke up at around 8:30 in the morning. Fixed up my bed, washed my face, gargled, did conditioning (push-ups and sit-ups), ate breakfast (fried egg and rice). Then I watched the Playoffs (see the results above). Then lots of stuff. Now, here am I in the front of the computer typing it. Hehe! Tomorrow will be a busy day once more. Better get some good rest for another wonderful day tomorrow. Good night!
